Trusting God’s Proven Goodness For Your Provision

We are undoubtedly living in uncertain times. As a mother, I understand the challenges that come with managing daily responsibilities. Many of you may be feeling anxious due to the current events we see in the news and around the world. However, even in unsettling situations, we are encouraged to choose to walk by faith and not by sight.

My hope for you is that amid this uncertainty, you will find encouragement to trust God as your source and provider, even during these challenging moments. Be encouraged to look to God and trust Him regardless. Be ready in season and out of season.

God Knows What You Need

Let us consider what Jesus said in Matthew 6:31: “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat? or “What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?” For after all these things, the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”

After all, the Lord is omniscient; God’s wisdom and knowledge have no end. So know that He sees you, loves you, and knows all that you need. You don’t have to chase provisions relentlessly. “For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” (Matthew 6:8)

We can trust God’s word and rely on our heavenly Father to provide what we need, bringing us a sense of relief and comfort in knowing that we are not alone in our struggles.

Whether at the start of your day or moments throughout your day. Please feel encouraged to pray and talk to the Lord about your struggles or any other concerns you may have. And don’t hesitate to share these struggles with others in your community. You’ll be surprised at how much comfort and support you can find in sharing your burdens with others.

Boldly Approach God with Confidence

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, and because of God’s grace and goodness, we can boldly approach Him in prayer. Since we have the assurance that God knows everything, including our needs, we can confidently approach Him and express our requests. No matter what those requests may be—whether it’s the courage to support our families or strengthen our faith—we can ask the Lord to help us trust Him more for provision.

Moment of reflection: What would it take for you to take your needs to God today without fear? Remember, it’s okay to experience moments of doubt or fear. God knows our limitations; that’s what makes us human, and it’s natural to feel this way. But in those moments, let’s remember to turn to God for comfort and reassurance.

Trust In God’s Goodness

Trust in God’s goodness, finding reassurance in the fact that He is always faithful, and His goodness never fails.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:32

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” Psalms 84:11

God, in His love and goodness, has already proven to us His great love and provision in giving us Jesus. Since God has given us His love in Jesus, then why would He withhold any good thing from you?

We further see God’s goodness in our everyday lives; we experience His constant provision when we wake up with breath in our lungs and the strength to care for our families and go to work. We see God’s goodness when we recount the many times He has protected our children, our spouses, friends, and families. For instance, I remember many times when I faced moments of uncertainty, and God provided a way out that I could never have imagined. His provision was not just enough; it was more than I could have imagined.

God’s Provision is Always Enough

“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.” Genesis 3:7

Many of us are guilty of trying to take matters into our own hands instead of relying on the Lord’s provision. Even though we have experienced God’s faithfulness time and again, our eagerness or impatience can lead us to believe that we can manage things ourselves and devise our solutions.

“Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.” Genesis 3:21

And yet, because God is faithful and His compassions fail not, He still provides in excellence. His provision is always more than enough, not just a momentary quick fix, but an everlasting gift that continues to give with endurance.

Praise Him for His Goodness

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

The Lord is our faithful provider, not just sometimes, but always. And He will come through even when we don’t know how or when. We can be sure that He will make a way. God is faithful to accomplish His will for your life and provide every good thing you need for your life.

Trust He is working all things together for your good and is working on your behalf. He sees the whole picture and not just some of it. He knows you, your address, and all that you need, and He knows when you need it.

“Praise Him for His mighty acts; Praise Him according to His excellent greatness! “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.”

Praise Him even while you are waiting for His provision. Praise Him for what He has already provided and done in your life. After all, if you are a believer and have trusted in Jesus as your Savior and Redeemer, then you are already complete in Jesus and have all you need spiritually and for eternity. However, since we are still here living on earth and have material needs, we can have confidence in God’s proven goodness and faithfulness to provide for us.

Trust Him in every moment. And remember, you are deeply loved, always provided for, and never forgotten. Even when you don’t have all the answers, trust that God does, and He’s working it out for your good and for His glory, far greater than you can imagine.

Be Encouraged
