It’s that time of year again! I say this with a smile. But I know that for many of us moms, back to school signals the start of fast-paced, noisy, and hectic mornings filled with traffic and high hopes of a successful fresh start.
I remember a few years ago when COVID hit, and I was so excited about my youngest son starting school with his brother. I was looking forward to walking him to school and having both of them experience the joy of going to school together.
However, that didn’t happen. Instead, we found ourselves positioned right in front of the computer screen alongside every other student for online classroom learning. My youngest son was both nervous and excited about starting a new school. Despite the challenges of this new experience, I found comfort in God’s word, knowing that He was in control and would provide the strength and hope needed for the journey ahead. I hope these words will also bring you comfort as you embark on this journey.
You Are Not Alone
As Christians, we are part of a larger community, and we do not have to tackle this journey alone. We can find comfort and support from our Christian communities, knowing that many of us may experience a range of emotions, including excitement, anxiety, and hope. Remember, you are not alone in this.
As we navigate the uncertainty of what lies ahead, amidst all the distractions in the news and beyond, it can feel overwhelming. However, it’s important to remember that you are never alone. As believers and followers of Jesus, we are encouraged in scripture to cast all our cares, concerns, and worries onto the Lord because He cares for you and your children. (1 Peter 5:7)
As a Christian woman, wife, and mother, I often encounter challenges that make me reassess the strength of my faith. But even in those times, I’m certain of God’s constant love. His love, grace, and mercy towards me remain consistent, and it’s the same for you. God’s love is unwavering, and He has proven His love for you by giving us His son, the Lord Jesus Christ. You are deeply loved and cherished by Him.
Trust In The Most High God
As the new school year begins, may you anchor your heart in the truth of God’s word, finding profound comfort, hope, and strength for the journey ahead, whether you’re going through the transition of moving to a new city or moving into a new home. God has whatever you need to get you through to the other side.
Often, changes to our routines bring a sense of uncertainty, but our faith can be a steady anchor in these turbulent times. However, these transitions can also present opportunities for significant growth in our faith and for deepening our relationship with the Lord.
How wonderful it is to understand the love that God has for you! 1 John 4:16 states, “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”
Do you truly know and believe that God loves you? I hope you can answer that with joy and certainty.
So, no matter the challenges you may face, know that the Lord God is with you. He loves you and your family. God knows whatever trial you’re facing, and He knows the outcome. There isn’t a load too heavy for God to carry, and He has more than enough strength to give you to help you through whatever challenge you may face. Trust in his plan and his strength; he created you to win!
Read The Bible
The more we read God’s word and trust in Him, the better equipped we are to face moments of uncertainty with strength and hope, even when the outcome is not fully understood. These transitions are not only challenges; they are also opportunities for us to grow and strengthen our faith.
The Bible encourages us to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and let His peace, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Placing your trust in the Most High God means you can openly surrender your concerns for your family and your future. You don’t have to overwhelm yourself with burdens beyond your control. God has the capacity and constraint to control the outcome. Instead, trust Jesus to carry the load. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
